"Sugary Half Moons": These are Sugary Moon’s signature recipe. They are soft, vanilla cakes frosted with vanilla and chocolate buttercream frosting. Growing up in West Roxbury, I used to frequent the local bakery with my dad and always looked forward to eating “half-moons”. The soft vanilla cake would melt in your mouth and the buttery cream frosting was so heavenly. When that bakery went out of business, I had never been able to find a bakery that made a similar recipe. I’ve created a recipe that mostly resembles the one from my childhood, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
“Grammy Kay’s Peanut Butter Fudge”: A recipe that has been adapted but just as good as the melt in your mouth, crystallized, sugary, peanut butter fudge made by my grandmother decades ago. (Seasonally made, and by request)
